The weekend activities

OK, so things did not go exactly as planned, first off I was to tired to go golfing, so I just whimped out on that.
Friday night we had a few people from work over, Ryan Jones must have ended up in Davy Jones Locker cause he did not show, but in attendance were the Case's, Keith and Terra Nielson, Amy and the Boy next door(Will).  All in all it was a very fun evening, the girls dominated in Catch Phrase, but the men finally delivered in Rockband.
Saturday Morning: Mary did enter the Open Fiddle competition for the Utah Founders Title Blue grass festival at Snowbird, and took second place.   That was a very early morning for me after having stayed up friday night playing games.  After we were done up at the Festival, we came back home, and Andrew, and my friend Eddie took the jeep out for a test run for the "Big Trip".  We traveled up american fork canyon and took the left fork up and over the mountain.  The ride was thrilling as exhilarating a we hurtled over rocks and moguls.  In fact the ride was so intense that Eddies seat-belt broke, and he had to change sides.
Sadly the jeep did not pass the test, about half way through the trip the check engine light came on.  I didn't think too much about that until we were headed up the Alpine loop Back through American Fork canyon and we suffered some power loss.  That convinced me that there was no way that the jeep would make it through Bartsow in 130 degree temp.
We stopped off at Zermatt Resort and Spa, for a bit of refreshing Italian Ice.  Then Eddie and Andrew played Shuffle board.  We came back home, and were exhausted, that bumpy ride really takes it out of you.
Sunday Morning: Peter Decided to enter the Open finger style guitar competition, but found out that they would not allow a partial capo, so he switched to the Novice division and had to quickly relearn a new song.  He did great he Placed in the top 3!  After that Ash Claire and I spent a nice relaxing time at home, and at the end of the evening  Ash and I retreated to the Theatre and Watched "Strange Wilderness" if you haven't seen it, don't its stupid.
